Sage Breakfast Patties

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

½ pound ground pork

2 tsps rubbed sage

¾ tsp white pepper (can use black pepper)

¾ tsp salt

¼ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp crushed red peppers

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

1/8 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine rubbed sage, salt, white pepper, onion powder, crushed red peppers and dried thyme.  Whisk together.  Crumble turkey and pork over mixture and mix well.  Place a large piece of plastic wrap in the small end of a burger press.  Using a large cookie scoop (about 3 Tbsp), scoop sausage mixture and place in center of well.  Close down and press.  Repeat until finished.  Cook in hot skillet for about 8 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink.  Can place uncooked sausage on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze.  Then remove and wrap in freezer wrap and place individual patties in large freezer plastic bag.
