Butterfinger Balls

1 1/2 cups crushed Butterfinger candy (be sure they are not big chunks)

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups chocolate chips, milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate

1 tablespoon vegetable shortening or coconut oil

In a medium bowl, mix candy, peanut butter, powdered sugar and butter till well combined. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Roll the candy mixture into a ball with your hands or a cookie scoop, place on the parchment paper. Put the baking pan in the freezer and freeze for 30 minutes to set.

In a microwaveable bowl add the chocolate chips and vegetable shortening. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time till smooth.

Remove the balls from the freezer, using a fork dip each ball in the chocolate and place back on the parchment paper to harden.
