Chicken Strips with Honey Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

2 chicken breast, cut into strips

2 Tbsp cornstarch

1 cup flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 egg

1/2 tsp liquid smoke

1 cup of buttermilk

Instructions

In a bowl mix cornstarch, flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, egg, liquid smoke and buttermilk. Mixture should be a little more than a paste. If it isn't, add a little water.

Add the chicken strips to the mixture and let sit for a few minutes while making the Honey mustard sauce.

In another bowl add 1 cup of flour

1 cup of breadcrumbs and stir well.

In a large skillet add enough vegetable oil to fry the strips (2 inches).

Dip wet chicken strips into the dry mixture. Leave the wet mixture on the chicken. Dip into the dry mixture twice. Put all your coated strips on a plate before starting to fry so you can add them all at once. Turn strips after about 2-3 minutes or till brown. Remove and drain on a rack or paper towels.
