Snacks on Sticks
Ingredients
4 cups Cheerios cereal
3 cups miniature marshmallows
10 flat sticks (popsicle or craft sticks)
½ cup raisins
1/3 cup sunflower nuts
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
¼ cup salted butter
Drizzle Optional:
½ cup white chocolate candy melts or white chocolate chips. Melt in 30 second increments in microwave until coating is smooth. Add to drizzle bottle or piping bag and drizzle over snack balls before placing on parchment paper to cool and set.
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (can use wax paper or foil).
Add butter and marshmallows to medium size saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in peanut butter until mixture is well blended. Remove saucepan from heat. Add cereal, raisins and sunflower nuts and mix until everything is well coated. Cool for about 2 minutes. Lightly butter (or can use spray) your hands so mixture won’t stick to your hands when forming balls. Shape mixture into 10, 2 inch balls. Insert 1 stick into center of each ball. Place the snacks on the parchment paper with the snack ball side touching the parchment paper.
