Pralines

 Ingredients

1 ½ cup pecan halves, cut in half

1 ½ cup evaporated milk

½ stick salted butter, melted

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

 

Instructions

Add sugar, milk, melted butter and vanilla to large heavy pot.  Stir; bring to a boil. Cook for 12 minutes, stirring continuously.  Add pecans; stir.  Turn burner off and continue stirring for about 6 minutes.  (If mixture gets too thick, add about 1 Tablespoon evaporated milk.  Spoon out onto parchment paper and let set for about an hour, or until set.
