John Wayne Casserole

Ingredients

1  (7.5-oz) can of biscuits

2  lbs lean ground beef

1  teaspoon onion powder

1  teaspoon paprika

1/2  teaspoon garlic powder

1  (1.5-oz ) pkg taco seasoning

1/2  green bell pepper, diced

1  (10.5 oz) can Rotel tomatoes

1  (16-oz) Ranch-Style beans

1/2  cup mayonnaise

1 1/2  cup sour cream

2  cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

 

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

In a large skillet add ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, taco seasoning, paprika and chopped bell pepper. Cook until the meat is no longer pink. Using a paper towel remove any grease in the skillet. Add the ranch style beans and rotel tomatoes to the meat mixture.

Cut each biscuit into four pieces and place them in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan or casserole dish. Pour meat mixture over the biscuits.

In a bowl mix the mayonnaise, sour cream and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Pour this over the meat mixture. Spread evenly to the edges. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until biscuits are done.
