Belgian Dessert Waffle

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups Belgian waffle mix

1 cup water

3 Tablespoons melted butter, or vegetable oil

3 - 6 Tablespoons maple syrup (depending on how much syrup you put on each waffle)

3 - 6 scoops vanilla ice cream (depending on if you put 1 or 2 scoops of ice cream per waffle)

Pam spray

Instructions:

Add waffle mix, water and melted butter or vegetable oil to medium mixing bowl. Mix until all lumps are out. Heat waffle iron. Spray with Pam. Set ice cream out so it will be soft enough to scoop. Heat maple syrup in microwave safe dish for about 15 - 20 seconds. Add 1/2 - 3/4 cup waffle batter in center of preheated waffle iron (depending on your model, light should come on to indicate it’s ready). Close lid and cook until golden brown. Remove and repeat with remaining batter; may need to spray more Pam on waffle iron. If waffles aren’t crispy enough (you want them crispy and hot), place in air fryer for 1 - 3 minutes on 350, or until crisp); you can also use a toaster, or place them on a baking sheet in the oven; monitor closely as not to get to dark. Waffles should be hot and crispy before plating. Place crispy waffle in plate, pour hot syrup on top of waffle; add 1 - 2 scoops vanilla ice cream in center and let melt on top of waffle and down plate or serving dish.
