Creamy Ham and Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons flour

4 cups milk

2 cups diced ham

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

9 lasagna noodles,cooked 

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

In a large skillet, melt the butter then whisk in the flour. Cook for a minute or two until it becomes a smooth roux.

Pour in the milk and continue whisking. Cook for five minutes or till it thickens. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Using a 9x13 inch casserole dish pour 1/4 cup of white sauce in the dish. Take three of the cooked lasagna and lay on top of sauce. Spread 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese over the lasagna then a 1 cup each of diced ham and shredded chicken. Top with 1/2 cup of white sauce. Repeat again one more time. For the last three noodles lay on top and pour remaining white sauce over the noodles then remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Bake covered for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
