Biscuits
Biscuits
Ingredients
4 cups self rising flour
About 4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 ½ Tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon flaked sea salt
½ stick salted butter, melted
Instructions:
Generously greasy a 9 x 13 pan plus a small pan. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Melt butter. Set aside.
In large bowl add flour, sea salt and baking powder; whisk together. Add heavy whipping cream and mix with your hands until all combined. This is a sticky dough. Turn onto lightly floured pastry mat. Roll out to about ¾ to 1” thick. Cut with floured square or round cutter. Add biscuits to prepared pan. Repeat until all dough is used. Gently pour melted butter over biscuits. NOTE: Using a square cutter eliminates having left over dough to re-reroll, which makes biscuits tough. This is a large recipe and makes 18 biscuits. If you roll thinner biscuits, it will make more. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Leftover biscuits can be reheated.
