Easy Strawberry Cake

1.     Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2.     In a mixing bowl, combine a vanilla cake mix with strawberry gelatin powder. Mix until combined.

3.     Then stir in  1/3 cup vegetable  oil,

4.     3 large eggs

5.     1 cup whole milk

6.     1/8 teaspoon flaked sea salt

7.     Once that is combined, add in 1 cup of fresh strawberries. You will want to gently stir those in by hand.

8.     1 teaspoon vanilla extract

9.     Then pour batter into a generously greased  9x13 pan, 2 eight inch cake pans, or large muffin pans

10. Bake for about 30-33 minutes.

 

Glaze:

1.     In a mixing bowl, 3 – 4  cups Imperial powdered sugar

2.     1/3 cup whole milk

3.     1 teaspoon clear vanilla

4.     ¼ teaspoon flaked sea salt

5.     Stir with a whisk or on low speed of electric mixer until combined and smooth.

6.     Pour over top of cake; using an offset spatula, cover sides.  Let set.

7.     Decorate top with fresh strawberries, or sprinkles.
