Ham Dressing

Ingredients

1 pan of cooked cornbread

 

1/2 cup chopped onions

1 can cream of celery soup

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups diced cooked ham

1 tbsp ground sage

1/2 tsp poultry seasoning

5-6 cups chicken broth

1 egg, beaten

 

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a 9x13 inch baking dish crumble cooked cornbread into small pieces. Add salt, black pepper, sage and poultry seasoning. Stir to combine all ingredients. 

In a saucepan add the two soups and 2 cups of the broth and heat till heated and combined.

Add cooked ham and the soup mixture and stir well. Then add remaining broth and beaten egg. Dressing should be thin, add more broth if it isn't thin. 

Bake in the oven for 45 minutes or until it thickens but not hard. May need to cook longer depending on your oven.
