Snickerdoodle
INGREDIENTS
· makes 3 1/2 dozen
· 1 cup melted butter
· 2 beaten eggs
· 1 1/2 cup sugar
· 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
· 1 tsp soda
· 1/4 tsp salt
· 2 tsp cream of tartar
· 2 tbsp Sugar
· 1 tbsp cinnamon
· 2 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat over 375. Mix butter and sugar together then add beaten eggs. In separate bowl mix flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, mix well. Chill in refrigerator about one hour. Roll into balls, the size of walnuts for small cookies, roll bigger balls for bigger cookies. In a small bowl, combine two tablespoons sugar and one tablespoon cinnamon. Roll each ball in cinnamon mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Take a fork and slightly press ball a little. Bake for ten minutes. Don’t overbake.
Tips:
Cookies will not look like they are cooked enough but they will be ready.
If you cook too long, they will be hard when they cool.
