Green Beans and Red Potatoes

Ingredients

4 strips of bacon

2 tablespoons diced onions

6 small red potatoes

1 package frozen green beans

4 cups chicken broth

water, enough to cover potatoes

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper.

 

Instructions

In a skillet cook bacon, not crispy. Add onion to bacon just before the bacon is cooked. Saute the onions until tender. 

In a saucepan add chicken broth, red potatoes, green beans, bacon drippings from the bacon and bacon and onions.

Add enough water for 2 inches above the potatoes. Add salt and pepper.

Cook until the potatoes are done.
